Our eventsLinebarger Academic Recognition Reception
Top 25 Graduating Seniors
For those who have experienced it first-hand, nothing compares to the Education Foundation’s annual Linebarger Top 25 Academic Reception, staged each year at the HCISD Performing Arts Center. The event serves as a model for other education foundations seeking ways to celebrate academic achievement. Notably, the Linebarger Reception—named in honor of legendary HCISD supporters Dale and Libby Linebarger–recognizes the Top 25 Graduating Seniors of the district’s high schools, invites them to identify and include the teacher they choose as “most significant” in their student career. All in all, it is a touching evening, and an annual point of pride for the community.
