The mission of the Hays CISD Education Foundation is to generate and distribute resources to the Hays Consolidated Independent School District to enrich, maintain and expand programs needed to meet the District’s stated mission and promote excellence in education.
- we are a 501(c)(3) non profit tax-exempt philanthropic organization of citizens
- we share a vision of enhancing education in Hays CISD
- we work to increase private support for educational activities in Hays CISD
- what we do benefits Hays CISD students and staff personnel by supporting activities above and beyond those funded by tax dollars
- we help foster creative approaches to education through private grants and involvement
- the funds we raise are awarded through a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business, community and educational leaders
A Word
From Our Board
“We have big plans and big ideas! In order to assist the district in its initiatives, we need to build a bigger pool of local supporters and business owners in order to gather the resources needed for these big and bold plans. That means YOU. Whether it is volunteering to assist with one of our events, helping us raise money or introducing us to your friends and family, it will take US and YOU to make it happen.”
– Education Foundation Executive Board
I have always said that the foundation is one of the best things about this district because it gets teachers excited about doing something new and “innovative” with students. I have had my best teachable moments because of grant projects I was able to do with my students. Thanks for your endless work! LHS
